During NAIDOC Week, Yarn & Stitch proudly features Yorta Yorta, Gunaikurnai and Gunditjmara artist and workshop facilitator Teena Moffatt.

In this engaging workshop, participants will explore the art of weaving headbands while learning about local First Nations cultural traditions. Through creativity and storytelling, Teena will share knowledge, techniques and the cultural significance behind weaving practices, offering a meaningful and hands-on experience.

Enjoy sewing, knitting, yarning, and stitching at your own pace with these self-guided drop-in sessions.

Sessions include access to:

  • Mechanical sewing machines
  • Sewing kits with needles, thread, pins, scissors, etc
  • Knitting & crochet needles
  • Practice material

Suitable for beginners. Ages 14+
