Seed swap and afternoon tea for Carers

November 26, 2025

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
  • Brimbank Carers Space, 90 Taylors Road Keilor Downs (in Keilor Downs Community Centre)

Green thumbs and new gardeners alike, come and join us for a seed swap at the Carers Space!

A seed swap is an opportunity for you to share seeds, seedlings, cuttings, tips for gardening and to mingle with other Carers who share a similar interest. It’s great if you can bring something along, but not essential-there will be plenty to choose from!

We will also supply tea, coffee, soft drinks and afternoon tea will be supplied by a local bakery.

Please RSVP via CarersSpace@brimbank.vic.gov.au to assist us with planning.

The Brimbank Carers Space is a pilot that has been co-designed with local unpaid carers in the Brimbank community. It is a space that aims to reflect and respond to needs by providing opportunities for relaxation, respite and connection. Unpaid Carers support others that live with a disability, a medical condition (including a terminal or chronic illness), a mental illness, or are frail and aged.

**Please note, “unpaid” Carers refers to Carers that are not working in a formal (e.g. support worker) capacity and does not exclude those who are receiving a Carers allowance.

If you would like to clarify whether you are eligible to attend this session, please contact CarersSpace@brimbank.vic.gov.au
