Reusable Goods Drop Off Day – April 2026

Declutter your home, support local families and help build a more sustainable future by taking part in Brimbank’s Reusable Goods Drop-off Day.

Brimbank residents are invited to drop off unwanted household items in good condition at this free community event on Saturday 18 April, 9:00am – 2:00pm at the West Sunshine Community Centre.

Your pre-loved items will be given a second life through local organisations including Red Cross Australia, West Welcome Wagon and social enterprise Community Bike Hub, helping provide essential goods and refurbished bikes to people in need across the community.

What you can drop off

We welcome clean, good-quality items suitable for reuse, including:

• Televisions
• Computers
• Small household appliances (vacuums, rice cookers, toasters, kettles)
• Small furniture items (coffee tables, chairs, bookshelves, bedside tables)
• Bikes
• Homewares and bric-a-brac
• Clothing, shoes and accessories (bags, handbags, backpacks, jewellery)
• Towels and linen

What we can’t accept

Please do not bring:

• Broken, damaged, ripped, stained or faulty items
• Hazardous materials (asbestos, chemicals, oil, gas bottles)
• Construction or biological waste, sharps
• Fluorescent tubes or smoke detectors
• Broken monitors
• Bulky items such as large furniture pieces or mattresses

Important information

• This event is for Brimbank residents only. One ticket is available per household.
• Registrations are essential to avoid traffic congestion. Please select an available time during registration.
• Drop-offs are limited to cars, small vans and small trailers only. No trucks or commercial quantities permitted.
