Olives to Oil Westside 2025

May 18, 2025

11:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Newport Community Hub, Newport (11 May) and Visy Cares Hub, Sunshine (18 May)
  • Wurundjeri Country

Presented in partnership with My Smart Garden and Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, and Maribyrnong Councils, Olives to Oil Westside is back! Delivered by CERES, this much-loved community event invites you to gather your homegrown olives and have them pressed into delicious, local olive oil.

How it works:
Drop off your olives at one of our local collection days, and collect your share of freshly pressed oil at our Festival Day on Sunday 1 June at McNish Reserve, Yarraville.

Even if you don’t have olives to harvest, there’s still plenty to enjoy!
Register now to attend one (or all!) of the following free events:

Fruit Tree Maintenance Workshop – Friday 3 May at Horseshoe Bend Community Farm
Harvesting & Preserving Workshop – Wednesday 14 May at Westvale Community Centre
Olives to Oil Festival – Sunday 1 June at McNish Reserve, Yarraville

Olive drop-off locations:

  • Sunday 11 May, 11am–3pm – Newport Community Hub, 13/15 Mason St, Newport VIC
  • Sunday 18 May, 11am–3pm – Outside Visy Cares Hub, 80B Harvester Rd, Sunshine VIC

Please note: You or a friend/family member must collect your oil at the Festival on 1 June. Unfortunately, late collections aren’t available.

Register yourself now.
