Olives to Oil – Westside Sunshine 2026 – Drop off

May 17, 2026

11:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • (At the corner of) Visy Cares Hub, 80B Harvester Rd, Sunshine VIC 3020

Olives to oil is back for 2026.

Here is everything you need to know if you want to drop off your olives to be turned into delicious extra virgin olive oil.

Drop off details

Tickets are essential to take part in Olives to Oil 2026; we won’t be able to accept olives which aren’t planned for this year.

When booking, you’ll be asked to select a weight category you expect to pick. Small quantities (under 20kg) remain free so everyone can participate, but larger quantities will be asked to contribute to help cover costs.

Book a time to bring your olives to the Visy Cares Hub, Sunshine or find alternative dates and locations on the CERES website.

Please note: Due to the popularity of the program, tickets are only available to rate payers of participating councils: Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Melton. Please bring proof of address or rates notice with you when you drop off your olives.

Pick up details

You (or a friend or family member) must be available to collect your oil at our Festival day on Saturday 18 July at the Burnside Community Centre, City of Melton. If you miss this day, there will be no further opportunity to pick up your oil.

Please find more information and FAQs on the registration page.

Presented in partnership with My Smart Garden and Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Melton Councils, Olives to Oil is an annual event run by CERES, bringing people together to harvest olives and have them pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil.

Olives to Oil Westside Festival

If you don’t have any olives to harvest, you’re still invited to the festival on Saturday 18 July.
