Did you know Australians waste 7.6 million tonnes of food each year and 70 per cent of this is perfectly edible?
Come along and learn how you can reduce food waste in your home. TThere will be an interactive cooking demonstration, tastings and a pickling activity.
The workshop will be facilitated by Open Table; a not-for-profit community organisation focused on preventing food insecurity and food waste. They use food that would otherwise go to waste to share free, fresh food through regular community lunches and food relief programs. Open Table run informative workshops, cooking classes and demonstrations that focus on practical ways for people to reduce their own food waste.
