Join us for a special Nature Discovery Day guided by Traditional Owners, First Nations knowledge holders and scientists.

Explore the stunning natural environment of yaluk barring nature reserve, while learning about traditional ecological knowledge, cultural practices and connection to Country.

As part of this day, our plant and animal observations will contribute to the 2026 City Nature Challenge.

• Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Wurundjeri elder Aunty Annette Xiberras
• Yedabila habitat pod building & cultural heritage workshop with young First Nations man, Kai Lane
• Insect discovery and identification with entomologist Dr Ian Smith (observations will contribute to Greater Melbourne’s City Nature Challenge)
• A light lunch

All activities are child-friendly – we encourage you to bring the whole family along!
