National Sorry Day – Commemoration Event

Join us on National Sorry Day for a commemoration event as we reflect on the historical and ongoing impacts of the Stolen Generations.

The event will feature:

  • Keynote by Aunty Eva Jo Edwards (Stolen Generations survivor)
  • Storytelling by Aunty Jacqueline Watkins sharing her mother’s poetry
  • Wreath Laying Ceremony

Light refreshments and a chance to yarn with First Nations community members from 12pm

Please note: Personal stories may include distressing experiences. Please consider your wellbeing and seek support if needed.

10:45am -Smoking Ceremony (weather permitting)

11am – Official proceedings start

Community members are warmly welcome to attend.

Free to attend, RSVP essential.
