We are pleased to share details of a series of free 30 minute online multilingual “Hearing for Wellbeing” seminars developed by La Trobe University. These sessions aim to improve hearing health literacy, reduce stigma, and support access to hearing care among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
The seminars will be delivered by qualified audiologists and audiology students, and cover:
– Recognising common signs of hearing loss
– Understanding hearing aids and addressing common misconceptions
– Practical communication strategies for everyday life
– How and where to access hearing services, including low‑cost options
These sessions may be particularly beneficial for patients who would benefit from hearing support but may face language, cultural, or access barriers.
