Festive Crafts Without the Waste – workshop with permaculture and sustainability educator ‘Anna the Urban Nanna’

November 23, 2024

10:00 am - 11:30 am
  • Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre, Keilor Downs

The average Australia household increases its waste output by around 30% during the festive season, which puts a bit of a tarnish on celebrations. So how can you reduce your waste without missing out on the traditions you love, while still enjoying the excitement of creating and using festive decorations?

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn eco-conscious, sustainable ways to decorate your home during the festive season without adding to the global waste crisis. Learn basic crafting skills to upcycle unwanted clothing or fabrics into gorgeous hanging ornaments to use as decorations or gifts. Take home what you make – as well as instructions to continue crafting at home!

When: Saturday 23 November 2024 – 10am to 11.30am
Where: Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre, Ground Floor activity room
Cost: Free-of-charge – includes homemade festive snacks.
To book: Bookings required – visit the Humantix website
