Creating Hollows for Habitat

August 24, 2024

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • Station Water Reserve, Meet opposite 78 Millbank Drive, Deer Park

Join Brimbank City Council for an exciting live demonstration to watch expert arborists carve out an artificial tree hollow. Learn about how Council is repurposing dead and unsafe trees as habitat hollows in reserves across Brimbank. After the arborists have created the artificial hollows and made the tree safe, we will work together to plant shrubs, grasses and wildflowers around the base of the habitat tree to provide additional food and shelter for small birds, lizards and insects.

Places are limited, reservations are essential. Book here
