“Balitj Woka Weaving Workshop is a culturally grounded, hands-on experience led by Saoirse, a proud Gunditjmara woman, who was taught to weave by her Aunty.
This workshop is an opportunity to learn traditional weaving practices passed down through generations, while connecting to culture, story and community in a safe and welcoming space.
Participants will be guided through the foundations of weaving, learning techniques, materials and the cultural significance behind the practice.
More than just creating something with your hands, this workshop is about slowing down, sharing knowledge, and honouring the strength and resilience of Gunditjmara culture.
