The B-MAD Sports Tournament 2026 is a free, inclusive community sporting event delivered by the African Youth Collective in partnership with ViiBE Family Entertainment.
Held at Errington Reserve, St Albans, the event uses sport as a platform to strengthen community connections, promote health and wellbeing, celebrate cultural diversity, and create positive opportunities for young people and families across Brimbank.
The tournament features dedicated Soccer Day (21 September 2026) and Basketball Day (28 September 2026), bringing together participants from diverse cultural backgrounds in a safe, welcoming and family-friendly environment.
The event also includes live music, cultural performances, African food, community information stalls, youth engagement activities, and opportunities for local organisations to connect with residents.
The event supports the B-MAD (Beyond Mental Health, Alcohol & Drugs) initiative by encouraging positive lifestyles, mental wellbeing, leadership development, social inclusion, and community resilience. It aims to reduce social isolation by creating accessible opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate, volunteer and build meaningful community relationships.
